Reimagine carbon
Reimagine carbon
We are looking to expand our highly-motivated, fast-paced team in order to scale up our technology and advance our global commercialisation journey as we design and build our Carbon Plants across the world and help decarbonize industry (see roles below).
MCi Carbon (MCi) is an Australian based global clean technology company with executives based in Canberra and a Pilot Plant in Newcastle. It has international partnerships through which it is commercialising decarbonisation plants across the world and in several industrial sectors.
MCi develops carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technology that transforms CO2 into valuable materials. Founded in 2012, the company operates a low-cost, low-pressure, low-energy chemical engineering process to transform CO2 emissions from industrial sources into solid materials which can be used to create a range of products.
Our mission is to contribute to the industrial pathway to zero emissions by removing one billion tonnes of CO2. MCi is a globally recognised company, recently named #1 Clean Technology at COP26 in Glasgow, MCi has received merits for R&D and commercialisation, including the NSW Clean Technology Award 2022, presented by the Banksia Foundation, 2018 Resource Innovator of the Year Award at the New Materials Summit in Berlin, being featured at the World Economic Forum Pioneers of Change Summit 2020, and named as a Global Finalist in the Extreme Tech Challenge 2022.

Are you seeking a meaningful, impactful, and purpose-driven role in a new emerging industry?
Join the passionate and talented team at MCi Carbon (MCi), an Australian based global cleantech shaping the new circular economy by reimagining carbon.
The Lead Electrical Design Draftsperson is a key member of MCi's Technology function responsible for accelerating the scale-up activities of MCi’s mineral carbonation technology. Working within a highly skilled team, the position will play a key role in the design and commissioning of a world-first mineral carbonation industrial demonstration plant and contribute to feasibility studies related to deploying the technology at customer sites.
As industries transition away from fossil-fuel intensive manufacturing to achieve emission reduction goals and those of the Paris Climate Agreement, a range of new technologies will be developed and commercialised through 2050 and beyond. A role at MCi offers a unique opportunity to assist in the decarbonisation of industry with novel technology and to form collaborations and partnerships with proactive customers to make a real impact.
